Frequently asked questions - Alka® Drops
Is it a problem if I put more than 3 Alka® drops in a glass of water?
No, that is no problem at all. When you put more drops in a glass of water it can only have an effect on the taste, because the drops contain a high amount of minerals. In some cases it is even advisable to increase the dosage when the water has a lower pH level (pH 6-6,5).
What is the difference between the Alka® drops and a water ioniser?
A water ioniser is a home appliance, fixed permanently to the tap, and it raises the pH level of drinking water by using electrolysis to separate the incoming water stream into acidic and alkaline components. The difficulty with a water ioniser is that it depends on the pH level of the tap water, what the final pH level will be after ionisation. If the start pH level is low (pH 6-6,5), the final pH level will also be lower and it will then not be as beneficial to your health as it would with Alka® Drops. With the Alka® Drops the pH level of water is easily adjusted to your needs, a pH level of 9-10.
Are there any negative side effects when using the Alka® drops?
Some people notice some slight de-acidification signs (like a mild headache, tiredness) the first few days. This seems negative but is actually a good sign; acid waste is being removed. Luckily this is temporary and the de-acidification signs will fade quickly. In Japan for example, they already drink alkaline for more than 50 years without any long term negative side effects.
Can I use the Alka® drops without consulting my GP?
The use of Alka® Drops is very safe and can be used without consulting your GP but if it makes you feel more comfortable, please do so.
How long does 1 bottle of Alka® drops last?
With a normal dosage of 15 drops during the day (5 glasses of water with each 3 drops), 1 bottle of Alka® Drops will last about 2 months, it contains approximately 1000 drops.
